Trail Overview
Lily Pond Trail is 3.1 miles of technical rocky single track in Taylor Park. The whole route has big embedded boulders, chunky embedded rock faces, and embedded roots. There are narrow sections through the trees, but a lot of the trail is wider as you have to pick your way through all the rocks. You’ll go through rock gardens full of big embedded rocks, and also watch out for muddy ruts. This is a pretty busy area, especially on weekends, so you’ll likely see other riders and hikers. The south end of the trail connects to Lily Pond Road, as it goes past the pond covered in lily pads, and through some tight trees. The middle of the trail intersects with the Star-Lily Connector, which is slightly easier, but takes you to the very difficult Star Trail. The north end connects to the Italian Creek 4x4 route.
Difficulty
This is a more technical route, constantly full of rocks, ideal for more experienced riders. The entire trail is rocky, and it also connects to very rocky routes as well.
