The trail is a scenic drive overlooking the Breckenridge Ski Resort and is frequented by hikers and nature walkers. This mostly gravel and dirt trail doesn't have any difficult obstacles and can be driven by any AWD vehicle. A short section of Gold Run Gulch (GH-21) on the northern side has seasonal closures and is only open from May 21 - November 22. There's one section of a narrow gravel shelf road that has eroded slightly and must be driven around off-camber. There are no visible campsites and no available toilets on the trail.
