Trail Overview

Calm out and back trail ending at a hut on private land. Be sure to not trespass on the private land. Some small ruts and rocks, along with some off-camber berms. A technical rock patch that requires concentration and good tire placement. Lots of campsites throughout the trail that are secluded from other sites. Snow through late April/Early May.

This is a level 1 trail. It''s really just a dirt road that is maintained and has electrical boxes and cable boxes along the side to go to houses and to Gold Lake. Any all-wheel drive vehicle could do it and I spent pretty much the entire time just in two-wheel drive and my Frontier. The very back end as it connects to spring gulch gets a little steep and needed four-wheel drive, but I saw a Ford Bronco Sport with a teardrop trailer out there. There are some pull off campsites along the way as well as private drives to some houses.

Trail was very pretty but felt more like a dirt road, I think I could have taken a coupe on the road. Lake was closed due to it being private land

Pretty simple trail, water crossing had water moving pretty well at this time, probably easy in a truck. No big rocks, a couple of forestry road loops off the trail, one that crosses some private land.

A few van lifers, some good camping. No cell service (Verizon) for most of it
