Trail Overview
Trail 736 is a dirt bike-only trail that used to be a single track, but has become wider over time, so it more so resembles a Jeep trail, despite signs at the entrance that it is for dirt bikes only. The east end starts at the end of Forest Road 895, where the designation changes. It is a steep descent from east to west with deep ruts and loose rock, plus embedded slab rock layers that form moderate ledges. Some of the ledges are more ramped and easy, but some are rutted out and off-camber. It goes through an old burn area with wide open views of the surrounding mountains. Some sections are sloped and off-camber as it drops down to a ravine in the burn area, where it gets rockier and rides along the base of some giant granite boulders. On the west end, it ends at an intersection with Forest Road 220.
Difficulty
This is a moderate dirt bike route due to several rock ledges, steep terrain, and a loose gravelly surface. The trail is very wide for the entire route, but has a few off-camber slopes.
