Bittle Loop

This scenic loop winds through dense aspen forest and connects back to the Great Divide Trail. The route consists mostly of fine red dirt with 5–6-inch rock ledges, and some sections put you 5–8° off-camber. Large, shaded campsites with level ground and fire rings are scattered throughout the loop, including a particularly large site around 1.8 miles. The trail is van-friendly throughout, while campers and trailers are recommended only for the first mile, where several larger campsites are available.
