The Sand Highway

Trail Overview

The Sand Highway is a very wide, fine, fluffy sand trail that's part of the Glamis Sand Dune area, one of the most famous sand riding destinations. The sand is very smooth, and the whoops are very smooth, creating a flowing, enjoyable ride through pristine sand. This is a very high traffic area, so look out for other vehicles approaching from all directions. You'll enjoy amazing views of the dunes surrounding you in this spectacular sand environment.

Difficulty

The fine, fluffy sand requires four wheel drive, and airing down is essential for maintaining traction and momentum. The very smooth sand and smooth whoops make this an accessible and fun sand route despite the deep sand conditions. The very wide trail provides plenty of room for navigation and passing. The main consideration is the very high traffic area requiring constant awareness of other vehicles, especially side-by-sides and ATVs that may be traveling at high speeds.
