Trail Overview
This two-vehicle wide trail starts at Highway 78 with a packed sand surface throughout. You'll encounter lots of washboards creating a bumpy ride and ruts cutting across the trail that require attention. The route offers great views of the mountains, providing scenic backdrops. The trail is lined with lots of desert bushes and seasonal desert flowers, adding vegetation and color to the landscape. There are dispersed camping spots in this area where you can set up and enjoy the surroundings.
Difficulty
This is an easy trail with good surface conditions on packed sand. The lots of washboards create a jarring ride, but aren't technically difficult. The ruts cutting across the trail are minor obstacles that require attention but are manageable. The two vehicle width provides comfortable navigation and passing. Suitable for most high clearance vehicles seeking access to the dispersed camping areas.
