Trail Overview
This narrow, fine-dirt trail travels along the hillside with little room for vehicles to pass. Ruts begin at less than 2 inches deep, but around 0.4 miles, heavy overgrown vegetation makes pinstriping unavoidable. Drivers wanting to avoid vehicle scratches should stay within the first two campsite areas. Farther along, the route becomes rougher, more overgrown, and increasingly cliffside. The route offers exceptional views of the surrounding mountain range and snow-capped peaks. Around 0.2 miles, a shaded, level campsite accommodates up to six vehicles with unobstructed mountain views. Another cliffside site around 0.25 miles fits three vehicles and includes a large fire ring. A final cliffside campsite accommodates two vehicles with level ground and expansive views.
Difficulty
This trail is rated Level 2 because of the narrow cliffside terrain and increasingly heavy vegetation. Ruts are minimal, but the tighter, overgrown sections require careful maneuvering and make pinstriping unavoidable farther along.
