Trail Overview

This 2-mile point-to-point trail starts at 120 Cutoff (FS 1S06) and ends at Bald Mountain Road, climbing 112 feet and dropping 59 feet. The sand and pumice surface runs one vehicle wide through a sparse pine forest with sage and other brush lining the trail. There are many open meadows between the trees offering views of the Eastern Sierras as you drive through. This short section is part of the larger Crater Loop, providing a good connector route through the area and access to other trails in the network for exploring the region.
