Old Cease Road - FS 1S02

This 4.8-mile point-to-point north-to-south trail starts on Wickie Up Loop (FS 1S10) and ends on Sand Flat Cutoff. The sand and pumice surface is one vehicle wide and cuts through a pine forest with signs of a previous forest fire or prescribed burn. Parts of the trail run through a young forest where small trees grow right next to the trail, making it tight. The Eastern Sierras and Mono Lake pop through the trees once in a while as you drive. There are areas for dispersed camping along the trail for those wanting to explore the area more thoroughly. The trail climbs 150 feet over its length.
