Accessed directly off the terminus of Sunset Lakes Road - FS 31097 where it meets District Line Road, this trail is primarily used by forest visitors to reach prime dispersed camping pullouts near Wet Meadows Reservoir, access the nearby Wet Meadows Trailhead for hiking, or connect into the broader backcountry 4WD network. This single-lane hard-packed dirt track features deep rocky washes and mud-rutted meadow stretches, earning a Grade 3 difficulty rating. The route begins narrow with encroaching pine vegetation before dropping into a deep rocky wash at the 0.1-mile mark. At roughly 0.4 miles, the forest opens onto an expansive alpine meadow near the Indian Valley Road (19E04) junction, where past water runoff has left deep mud ruts across the driving surface. Continuing past a convenient pullout campsite, the path traverses another wide seasonal stream crossing with a steep bank rise and a rocky step before seamlessly transitioning into Tamarack Road at the forest boundary.

About 0.1 miles in, drivers encounter a deep rocky wash with a steep, loose dirt exit ramp that demands steady momentum to ascend safely. Through the meadow section near 0.4 miles, deep mud ruts from seasonal runoff create high-centering hazards where you must carefully straddle the ruts rather than dropping tires into them. Near the end of the route, another dry creek crossing requires climbing a steep rise and maneuvering over a prominent rock ledge.
