Trail Overview

Fulda Ridge (FS-19-028) is an easy, and well maintained trail just off of I-80 at Nyack. It's easy to get to and has cellular signal along the majority of the trail. It is a great trail for new off-roaders, or a quick jaunt to visit nature. Drivers need to be aware that the trail does not appear to end but simply turns into a private road on private property. There is also a seasonal gate closure about three-quarters of a mile in, where the trail splits from a private road owned by Union Pacific Railroad Company.

Difficulty

The vast majority of this trail is wide enough for two vehicles to pass. The few narrower portions are still easy to manage passing if necessary. Most vehicles will be able to turn around almost anywhere on the trail. This can be completed with 2WD when dry, after seasonal maintenance has been done in the spring.
