This challenging rock and gravel trail begins partially on BLM land with a steep, narrow cliffside climb and 6–8-inch ruts. Around 0.6 miles, rocks and boulders increase to 10–14 inches, requiring careful tire placement near the cliff edge. Expect sections reaching 10–12° off-camber and incredible views of Bishop and the surrounding snowcapped mountains. Farther along, obstacles increase to 18–22 inch boulders and rock ledges. Several viewpoints and campsites offer expansive views, including a large overlook near the end with space for up to eight vehicles.
