Trail Overview
This wide, fine-dirt trail begins with a steep climb up and over the hillside, with plenty of room for vehicles to pass. Around 0.5 miles in, several large fallen trees require careful maneuvering to weave around them. The loose surface can become more difficult when wet, but overall the route is van and trailer friendly. The route eventually reaches an OHV-only trail, requiring full-size vehicles to turn around. The trail travels through a particularly scenic section of forest surrounded by dense trees and bright green vegetation. Around 1.4 miles in, a large, level cliffside campsite accommodates up to 12 vehicles, includes multiple fire rings, and provides excellent views of the surrounding mountains.
Difficulty
This trail is rated Level 2 because of the initial steep hill climb and sections requiring careful maneuvering around fallen trees. Otherwise, the route is relatively easy with no significant technical obstacles.
