Trail Overview

This well-maintained trail is covered in red volcanic gravel and winds through a forest before reaching a burned section that still has its own beauty and character. The road is generally in good shape, but watch for deep holes around drainage ditches, which can appear unexpectedly along the route. Some of these areas have been filled with stone, while others remain uneven, so slow down and keep an eye on the road ahead. Near the end, the trail reaches a small loop around a beautiful tree, making a lovely stopping point before heading back. With its red volcanic surface, forested surroundings, and spectacular views, this is a beautiful little route to explore. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid California ATV Operating Permit sticker.
