Trail Overview
Located just outside Hardin Flat beyond the Tuolumne Family Campground, FS 1S75 is a quiet out-and-back single-track spur branching off into the surrounding woods. Set within an open mixed-conifer forest recovering from the 2013 Rim Fire in the Stanislaus National Forest, this route offers a secluded woodland retreat. Off-road travelers primarily use this short track to access a private dispersed campsite tucked away from busier established camping grounds. The driving surface begins as a smooth, single-lane dirt track before becoming a narrow, overgrown path, earning a Grade 2 difficulty rating. The initial stretch provides an easy drive across level ground with minimal surface ruts. Beyond the early spur junction, encroaching brush and low branches squeeze against the trail, making minor pinstriping likely. Cut log remnants border the track, leading to a secluded campsite clearing. The route effectively ends at 0.8 miles, where a partially cut fallen tree creates a tight obstruction across the path, accompanied by additional blowdown timber further ahead.
