FS 1S24A branches off the main FS 1S24 road, a 1.1-mile, single-track spur of dirt and gravel through open, fire-affected forest with wide views on all sides. The road drops steadily toward the river, with minor to moderate ruts, some up to 18 inches deep, along the way. It ends at a private, isolated campsite; from there it's a short scramble down to the river

Difficulty

1S24A is a short, single-track spur with a steady downhill grade to a riverside campsite. The main challenge is rutting, minor to moderate and up to 18 inches deep in spots, which calls for some care with vehicle clearance and line choice. Outside of the ruts, the surface is dirt and gravel with no other obstacles, and open forest keeps sightlines good the whole way down.
