Trail Overview

This 2.3-mile north-to-south point-to-point trail is relatively flat, only climbing just over 100 feet and dropping just under 100 feet from Bald Mountain Road to 120 Cutoff (FS 1S06). The sand and pumice surface is one vehicle wide, running through the forest with a few spots to disperse camp along the way. Be on the lookout for wildlife such as mule deer, coyotes, black bear, hawks, and bobcats as you drive. There are cut-down trees that have been pushed aside, so be cautious when it's dark and watch your clearances.

Difficulty

From the south side, there are some deep ruts under 12 inches caused by water runoff. Some very low-hanging branches will hit tall vehicles. Cut down trees have been pushed aside; use caution in the dark.
