Trail Overview
1S09 sits right off Highway 120 and starts as an easy single-lane gravel and dirt trail through open pine forest. The trail narrows steadily as overgrown brush closes in from both sides, and by the far end clearly sees little regular travel or maintenance. About 0.8 miles in, a fallen tree blocks the trail completely, making it impassable to any vehicle from that point on; foot travel only beyond there.
Difficulty
A rating of 3 fits this trail because of the progressive overgrowth and eventual obstruction rather than any inherent surface difficulty. The single-lane gravel and dirt track starts easy but narrows steadily as vegetation crowds in, requiring more careful navigation the further you go. The trail is not well maintained, so branches and brush contact are common well before the end. The fallen tree at 0.8 miles fully blocks vehicle travel, forcing a turnaround or a foot-only continuation.
