Trail Overview

This trail is well maintained for the first 700 feet or so, then becomes increasingly obstructed by storm debris and fallen trees. The route isn’t particularly difficult, but you’ll need to navigate carefully to work around trees and avoid scratching your vehicle. The trail ends because heavy overgrowth and numerous trees block the road. Debris from past storms remains throughout this section, suggesting the area has not been fully cleared. A large area suitable for dispersed camping lies about 500 feet into the trail, offering a convenient place to stop before reaching the more heavily obstructed sections. Boundary thinning is also taking place in the area, so watch for state forest workers and equipment while traveling the route. For now, use caution around fallen trees and respect any active work in the area. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid California ATV Operating Permit sticker.
