FS 1N02

This 4.5-mile point-to-point trail climbs almost 1,000 feet from the junction of FS 1556 in Ridge Meadows to near FS 29E104. The sand and dirt surface is one vehicle wide, lined with sagebrush, and running through a pine forest. You get great views of the surrounding mountains, hillsides, canyons full of trees, and interesting rock formations throughout this trail. At mile two, you run along a shelf road with great views of the canyon below and stunning colors in the fall. Be on the lookout for wildlife like mule deer as you drive.
