This very sandy wash features some deep sand throughout with dunes on one side and sand walls on the other, creating a dramatic canyon environment. The wash is lined with various desert brush and some big trees, with seasonal desert wildflowers adding color to the landscape. You'll encounter whoops and washboards scattered along the way, creating a bouncy ride. There are some ruts up to 12 inches on corners that require careful navigation, and some off-camber sections where there is very deep sand, creating particularly challenging combinations. Difficulty
The very sandy wash with some deep sand requires four wheel drive, and airing down is essential for maintaining traction. The ruts up to 12 inches on corners demand high clearance and careful line choice, especially when combined with turning. The off-camber sections with very deep sand are serious challenges that require skilled driving and excellent momentum management. The combination of sand dunes, sand walls, and deep sand makes this a demanding wash route that rewards experienced sand drivers.
