Trail Overview
This trail starts at BLM 085 Railroad and features a hard-pack sand surface throughout. There is very little vegetation in this open, barren landscape. The original trail has been altered from past windstorms and storms, and this is the current alternate routing that has developed in response to those changes. The hard-pack sand provides solid traction compared to many of the sandier trails in the area, making this a more consistent surface to navigate.
Difficulty
This is an easy trail with good surface conditions on hard pack sand. The very little vegetation and open terrain make navigation straightforward. The main consideration is being aware that this is an alternate route due to storm damage altering the original trail, so conditions may differ from older maps or trail guides. The hard-pack sand is forgiving and accessible for most vehicles.
