Trail Overview

After the entrance, the road opens into a well-maintained gravel drive with plenty of tree coverage and few obstacles in the first half. Beyond the turnoff for WMA Road 9, the terrain becomes slightly more challenging, featuring two small water crossings and a few steeper grades. Cell service is intermittent but available in open areas. Clearly marked campsites are scattered along the route, and visitors should be aware of active hunting and shooting sports in the area.

Super simple trail, I’ve taken my KLX 250 and my 2004 Honda CRV down it, even had a buddy run a mustang to the campsite. So unless you have a LOW vehicle, it should make it. Couple of decent caves, one of which had a family of beavers living inside! Badass WMA. Caves are TECHNICALLY closed.

Beautiful, easy drive for us beginners. Passed a few secluded camping sites. Crossed 2 small dried up creeks. And a handful of clearings. Nice gravel road for a short drive.

We explored the WMA which was a lot of fun but many roads were closed so pay attention or have ONX open. Many primitive camping sites and I’d love to come back foe an extended stay.

Very easy trail that has some nice views and a pretty cool spring and cave to check out. Can be easily done in a stock rig. Proximity to Huntsville makes it a plus for those of us that live in the area.
