Trail Overview

This trail is part of the Ozark National Forrest (East Arkansas). This trail is on Twin Creek Road, also known as Rd #1151. Starting from the Southwest side of the trail, you will pull off of Highway 341 onto the dirt road (Rd #1151). This trail consists of red dirt/mud, multiple mudholes, beautiful scenery, and, towards the end of the trail, is where the fun begins. About 2 miles into the trail, you will start to encounter some bigger obstacles. Off-camber ledges, large rocks, drop-offs, tight spaces, and most of the time, this section of the trail is somewhat wet. The first two Miles of this trail are rather easy for most 4X4 vehicles, but the last section, we would highly recommend you walk it out and check for your situation. Be sure to always follow your basic rules of tread lightly and leave no trace. Remember that public lands are a privilege and not a right. Take care of what we have so we can continue to enjoy these beautiful trails! If you see something wrong with this mapped-out route, please be sure to report it so we can get it fixed ASAP.

Difficulty

Most of this trail is fairly easy with some mud holes (some hard bottom, some soft), but the North side of this trail is where the difficulty bumps up a few notches. Steep grades with off-camber sections, large rocks, rock shelves with drop-offs, as well as most of this section is usually wet and slippery. This road can get worse over time, so always take caution when trailing and remember basic rules, following the tread lightly and leave no trace guidelines. Always double-check MVUM and other sources, as access can change over the years to come.

Just giving an update to previous post. The tree blocking the trail has been cleared. Fun quick trail. We went E - W and it’s a good mix. Slightly technical until you get to clearing, then soft dirt/rocky with a few mud holes that are easily bypassed. Zr2 Colorado

Trail is fun especially if coming from the north. You begin by going up hill into rocky uneven sections. Once you peak you'll run into nice meadows for camping if you feel like it. HOWEVER. There is a downed tree about halfway through the trail. I have a GMC canyon and was able to go around it following an ATV trail. With that said I still gained a few pinstripes and a ding from a tree. Anything longer than me would not fit unless you've got time or a chainsaw.
