Trail Overview
L3 is a two-way trail located on the 400-Side of Hot Springs Off-Road Park. It winds through a beautifully wooded, shaded area, offering a peaceful route that’s ideal for connecting deeper into the Park’s trail system.
The trail currently holds a 3-Diamond rating, though it is slated to be adjusted to a 2-Diamond due to its moderate terrain and accessibility. L3 connects directly to L2 and L4, making it an important part of the network that helps link key trails and overlooks on the 400-Side. There is very little elevation change on this trail as it follows below the ridge straight across the mountain.
A Park Day-Use Trail Pass is required to access this system of trails. Cell service is spotty in places, and trail conditions can change quickly, especially after rain or during the winter months.
Difficulty
Uneven, rutted dirt trail with potential for loose rocks and sandy washes. Potential for mud holes and trail obstacles up to 12 inches, including small ledges and short, steep grades. A portion of the trail is narrow, where only one vehicle may pass.
