Trail Overview

The trail begins as a gravel-covered clay road with several dips and rises. As you progress, the trail becomes very rocky with several loose rocks and some washed out sections on the left side of the trail, right side if you're descending the trail. There are lots of sharp rocks and a slightly tight squeeze as you enter the harder part of the trail, getting into lots of loose and slippery rocks even when dry. Not a lot of maneuvering room to go around some of the larger rocks that may scrape the underside. The trail ends going up to a vista lookout, looking out over some lakes and mountain ranges of Arkansas.

Difficulty

I'm rating this a 3, but it could be a 4 if rain has recently occurred, making several of the base rocks that need to be climbed extra difficult.

Came down from Hickory Nut Mountain, was very fun without heavy challenges so my lady could learn 4low crawling over small obstacles. I would have rated a 3 with heavy emphasis on lifted vehicles due to level of washout and general deterioration

Very good trail a couple of large boulders and wet spots after a good rain very narrow most of the way and there are very few places to turn around since one side of the trail is a pretty steep hillside. A lifted 2wd on good tires can handle it but recommend a 4wd. Very fun trail leading to a beautiful look out over lake outhits and the mark mountain 10/10 recommend

We completed this trail with a Jeep Gladiator with 35’s with stock Rubicon suspension and leveling kit. Easily done with this set up and it was not technical. We had a lot of fun on the trail, and we went both up and down it. Great a view at the top.

This is a nice trail for a short off-road side trip. It has some loose rocks and a little wash out but easy to drive. We started from the overlook and went downhill a short way. We didn’t have to use 4 wheel drive. Lots of side trails that appear to be open; however onX showed they were closed until 8/1.

Rocky uneven terrain. Went downhill from the lake overlook and just took it easy. It’s not super skinny but definitely not gonna be easy if two vehicles meet. Trail was fun!

Not a super technical trail, there is a few large rocks that may scrape low clearance vehicles, a couple hill climbs. Definitely keep an eye out for potentially sharp rocks. If it rains there will be standing water in some spots! All in all it is a fun little trail.
