H17 Windshield Hill

H17 Windshield Hill is a 4-Diamond, two-way trail on the 400-Side of Hot Springs Off-Road Park. Though only 0.1 miles long, this trail features a steep and challenging descent with nearly 77 feet of elevation loss—packed into a short, rugged run. Drivers will encounter two 3-foot rock ledges and loose, slippery rock, requiring careful tire placement and throttle control. The trail is wooded and shaded, adding to its remote feel, and offers a more technical experience for confident drivers. For those wanting a less aggressive route, a 2-Diamond bypass is available nearby. H17 also serves as a useful connector between H31 and H42, placing it near the powerline trail network at the top of the 400-Side. A Park Day-Use Trail Pass is required to access this system of trails. Cell service is spotty in places, and trail conditions can change rapidly, especially in wet or cold weather.
