Trail Overview

This is a fun little trail that leads to big scenery at the top of Eagle Mountain in the Quachita National Forest. The trail consists of rocks and loose gravel and climbs about 800 feet in elevation. The trail is fairly easy for any 4x4 with a little ground clearance but is doable in any stock SUV or pickup.

Easy ride until the last 1/4 mile on an adventure bike. A couple of sections with boulders and loose rocks and slightly technical. No problem on SxS.

Need a high profile SXS. Was washed out with deep muddy trenches. This trail was rated as easy. After current rains this trail should be rated as medium to difficult 7/10. Had to make some difficult climbs to turn around. Very narrow with steep sides. This may be corrected in time. Did not make it to the end of the trail to see the tower. We were in a Polaris Ranger 1000 6 seater with stock suspension.

This trail was much tougher than the description led me to believe. Absolutely need 4lo with good ground clearance. Two wheel drive would not make it here. Several rocky inclines with areas you could scrap if you aren't careful. It rained heavily the day before so slick rock made it more difficult but fun. View at the top is excellent. Just a FYI there isn't an observation tower at the top, its three cell towers with a shack next to each one.
