Trail Overview
Trail 68F is an out-and-back trail leading to the historic Sycamore Cabin near Dugas, Arizona. The route follows a well-maintained gravel road that is typically passable by most vehicles in dry conditions. The road is wide enough for passing traffic and gradually winds downhill through scenic high desert terrain toward Sycamore Creek. At the end of the trail sits the historic Sycamore Cabin, a former Forest Service ranger cabin that has since been restored and converted into a reservable overnight rental through Recreation.gov. Built during the Civilian Conservation Corps era, the cabin remains one of the hidden historic gems within the Prescott National Forest. Surrounding the cabin is a surprisingly lush and shaded property filled with mature sycamore and cottonwood trees, creating a cool green oasis along the creek. Just to the right of the cabin, a gate provides access down to Sycamore Creek, where visitors can relax beside the water and enjoy the peaceful riparian setting. Continuing beyond the cabin, the road loops slightly farther before ending at a private property gate monitored by heavy video surveillance. Please respect all posted signs and private property boundaries beyond this point
