Trail Overview

This is a trail suitable for stock 2WD SUVs with higher clearance. The trail takes you through the scenic plains of the Prescott National Forest. There are small sections with loose rocks and dry river beds. Be sure not to cross the road during and after rain. The area has plenty of opportunities for dispersed camping, and there is hunting in the area. There are cattle in the area; if you pass a cattle gate close them behind you. There is little to no shade, be careful during summer.

The trail is pretty rough and rutted if you start from the Highway 169 side. It gets better around Big Flat Tank - although there are several rocky (dry) riverbeds to cross. Nice Sunday Drive!
