Trail Overview
This is a short out-and-back dirt bike trail accessed off of Forest Road 95C. It starts at an unmarked entrance, looking more wide like a two-track, but then narrows up into a single track going through a dry ponderosa forest. It weaves tightly through the trees, over a rocky surface, on a gradual forest floor. There are embedded boulders and a couple of rocky creek crossings that are more technical. Expect 1-foot-tall drop-offs, rock obstacles, and some tight maneuvering through the trees. Other sections are smoother, over dirt next to grassy glades. It’s mostly flat along the creek, called Stringtown Wash, crossing it 4 or 5 times, but it also has a couple of short steep climbs when you have to maneuver around the rocks or trees. It ends in a clearing under the trees where you can turn around.
Difficulty
This is a moderate dirt bike trail due to small intermediate rock obstacles, mildly technical creek crossings, short steep climbs, and a consistently rocky surface. It is ideal for intermediate riders comfortable in rocky terrain.
