Trail Overview
Trail Sa1072 is a point-to-point connector trail with a rocky gravel surface. Expect overgrown vegetation causing pinstripes along the sides and occasional belly scrapes. The route follows along a private property fence line for much of its length. The trail crosses a highly overgrown wash that appears to have seen little to no recent travel. Rock sizes range up to approximately 12 inches. Vegetation includes prickly pear, desert creosote, mesquite, and Palo Verde trees. There is a steep descent into a wash followed immediately by a climb up the opposite side. It's a fun trail to practice and build 4WD skills. Multiple small desert washes intersect the trail and can be difficult to see until you are on top of them. These sudden dips can cause vehicle damage or injury if taken too fast. Navigate slowly and carefully. High clearance and 4WD recommended due to uneven terrain. Not recommended in bad weather. This area is a flash flood zone with serious risk during storms. The trail eventually fades and disappears back into the desert.
