Trail Overview
Tail Sa1067 begins off Sa1068 and immediately requires navigating down into a wash and back out over large gravel rocks. This is primarily a wash road, and you can clearly see that the route is shaped by the natural flow of water toward the creek. Not advisable in heavy rain. This area is prone to flooding and flash floods. The trail rounds a corner and drops you into another large wash. From there, you’ll encounter a switchback climb to get back up the opposite side, only to be led into yet another wash crossing. As you continue, you will pass Sa1068 before heading toward the end of the trail. The route eventually terminates at a private property fence line. Expect numerous whoops along the way, and long-bed vehicles may experience scraping due to breakover angles. There are a few sections where light pinstriping is possible. High clearance recommended. 4WD is helpful in loose or wet conditions.
Difficulty
High clearance is recommended for both two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive vehicles. Expect wash crossings, gravel, and rocks ranging from 6 to 12 inches, along with ruts that may require careful navigation.
