Trail Overview

North Waterman Mountain Trail is a narrow overgrown trail that passes through Ironwood National Monument BLM land and Arizona State Trust Land 5 miles south to West Avra Valley Road. This trail goes through many washes as it meanders through the dense saguaro and cholla valley. Expect pinstripes if you're in a full-size truck, most of this trail is overgrown in the middle until passing Gasline road then it starts to open up again.

Difficulty

This trail crosses lots of washes, some are steeper than others and may change after heavy rains. The middle section of the trail is narrow with low overhead clearance from trees. Expect fresh pinstripes if in a full-size rig.

We took a nice stealth run on this trail around 8pm. It was dark out..jeep gas nice lighting. The trail is a lot of fun as always!!

We entered the trail from West Silverbell road. The trail is indeed open. In our prior trail report we stated the road was temporarily closed (when we tried to enter from Ava Valley road) because of a no trespassing sign. Turns out that was incorrect. The no trespassing sign is probably because the land is either with the bureau of Land Management or state trust land. We do have a permit so we are able to use this trail and we were able to use it this morning. there is no signs stating no trespassing when entering from West Silverbell road. The scenery and the trail were great, no major obstacles. We drove through a few very small washes and saw some various desert critters. All in all a great morning!

Good trail to cruise down some rough drops and parts with chunky rocks but easy trail to get in the desert and check stuff out. Alot of offshooting trails also
