Trail Overview

This trail starts about 3 miles in from where Rim Rd 300 begins off of HWY N 87. The first 6 miles of the trail are on a well-maintained dirt road that is easy to drive on and has enough space for two vehicles. There are some great camping spots with amazing views along the way. After 6 miles, the road becomes narrow, only fitting one vehicle, and it is not maintained. There are some obstacles and some off-camber sections to navigate. The trail was completed using a 2018 4Runner with a 3-inch lift and a 2019 Polaris RZR Turbo S.

1/10 from 218A to 300. Recent gravel makes it a very easy forest road to travel. Camped along the way and saw Elk on the road. Quiet and peaceful midweek. No issues for front wheel drive Winnebago Travato

I only went a few miles in, but it was all filled with gravel recently and is super smooth as a result (1/10). Once the fill gravel ends I assume it gets rockier.

Easy gravel road, no issues even after it rained, lots of dispersed campsites, if you go west you will see the road change from grey gravel to dirt, it gets more “technical” but still easily managed with truck

Great trail if you’re going camping The end last mile of the road towards the lookout is easily doable in any truck but is a rough ride in some spots We were the only people in the area this time
