Trail Overview
A narrow, one-lane trail winding through rocky hills with frequent wash and ditch crossings. Expect significant erosion and sections that will guarantee paint damage. The highlight (or challenge) is a long, rutted hill with loose rock that demands full commitment--once you start, there's no turning back. This trail was mapped East to West, in a downhill fashion. If I had to do it over again, I'd run it uphill, West to East, but that's a personal preference. If you are running West to East, once you pass the windmill wreckage, it's a full commitment to the uphill-loose-rock-shelf road. There is no turnaround or passing on the shelf road once you start the uphill.
