Hub Point - FS 919

This peaceful route is from the south end of Turkey Hill Road in Pinedale to Pinedale Ridge (FS 132). It travels through the pine forest and a few open areas where wild horses can be seen. With moisture, the trail becomes slick and can add some mud holes and ruts to navigate. It is a short but rewarding connector trail. While the trail doesn’t offer sweeping overlooks, it provides a fun drive through recovering forest shaped by the 2002 Rodeo-Chediski Fire, showcasing the resilience of Arizona’s high country as young ponderosa pines continue to reclaim the landscape. The route is narrow and lightly traveled, making it feel more remote than many of the surrounding forest roads. Two rocky hill climbs add just enough challenge to keep the trail interesting. Loose rock, minor erosion, and tight vegetation may leave a few pinstripes on full-size vehicles.
