Trail Overview

Harding Point (FS 535A) is an out-and-back scenic trail through pine trees and lush green forest. Numerous campsites along the route, some with great views. Expect heavy hunting traffic during hunting season and a few spur trails branching off. After rain, the trail becomes very muddy with deep ruts, but remains a forest road with room to navigate around obstacles while staying on the trail for the first 2.5 miles. At mile 2.5, the trail narrows and becomes overgrown. At mile 3, large fallen trees block the route, making the final 0.10 mile impassable. There is adequate room to turn around or back out at the blockage.

Good camping opportunities on Harding point. Just rough enough at the entrance to keep camp trailers out, some big mud holes with ways to get around them. People were camped in various location but not crowded at all.
