Government Prairie

The first 2 miles of this route are rough, rutted, and strewn with small rock gardens that can be deceptively tricky. There are a few areas that are constantly shaded, leading to mud pits, weeks or even months after rain or snow. Once you reach the prairie, you are rewarded with sprawling views and roads that are still rocky but allow faster travel. This area has several cattle gates. Please make sure to close them after going through.
