Trail Overview

Forest Service Road 9602E stretches just over a mile and a half. This trail is extremely eroded for nearly half of its length. As you approach the most rutted and washed-out areas, the trail weaves through junipers and manzanita. These eroded sections are deep and will test a full-sized 4x4 rig's ability to articulate its suspension. ATV riders will need to choose their lines carefully to avoid tipping over. After these deep ruts, the trail climbs up to Bald Hill Tank Number One. The surface in this southern section is rocky, with loose stones scattered across the trail. Near the end, the trail virtually disappears, and full-sized 4x4 rigs may have trouble turning around.
