Trail Overview
Bald Hill Climb consists of three Forest Service roads: 9602K, 9606E, and 523. This trail is just under two miles long and gains nearly 800 feet in elevation. The lower sections are fairly rocky and rutted in places. After passing Watters Tank, the trail becomes extremely rocky, with large loose stones and sizable rock outcroppings to crawl over. This climb is truly an uphill battle. If you're on a ride that requires holding handlebars, your hands will feel it after this rocky ascent. The rough terrain briefly eases just before you pass Bald Hill Tank Number Two. The trail ends just below Bald Hill. Beyond this point, the route becomes difficult to follow.
Difficulty
Expect an uneven, rocky, and rutted trail with huge loose rocks and erosion. There are large rocks on this trail that are over 12 inches but under 18 inches. The trail is one vehicle wide with some places to pass. Judging by how rough this trail is, it is likely you won't see anyone on this trail.
