Trail Overview
Forest Service Road 9361A stretches just over 2 miles and runs south along the Mogollon Rim. The trail begins as an easy drive, passing Sandrock Draw Tank, where you may encounter mud holes after recent rain. Along the route, you'll come to a gate--please be sure to open and close it behind you. Beyond the gate, the trail becomes more rugged, with several rutted and rocky sections. As you approach the intersection with Forest Road 9361Q, you'll encounter a few rock gardens that require careful navigation. Continuing, you'll pass an unnamed tank as the trail begins to turn west. From there, the terrain alternates between moderate rocky patches and smoother sections before ending at a scenic viewpoint overlooking the Fossil Springs Wilderness.
