Trail Overview
Forest Service Road 9246R is just over a mile long and begins off Highway 260. The trail starts easy and laid-back, making for a smooth introduction. As you continue, the terrain gradually becomes rockier. The route runs along the side of a hill before making a sharp left turn. From this point on, the difficulty increases significantly, with large rock gardens and loose rocks covering the trail. The trail then descends into a small canyon, becoming steep, uneven, and off-camber. Along this downhill section, you’ll encounter a sharp, eroded turn filled with large rocks that must be navigated while on a steep slope. ATV riders should use extra caution here, as the combination of loose rocks and incline can increase the risk of tipping if taken too quickly. After this challenging descent, the trail ends at a tank at the bottom of the canyon.
Difficulty
Expect an uneven, rutted, and eroded hill with large loose rocks. There are a few obstacles that are up to 2 feet.
