Trail Overview
FS 9004K, also known as Burned Road, offers offroaders a scenic yet stark drive through a recently burned section of the Coconino National Forest northwest of Flagstaff. Spanning approximately 3.9 miles, this route climbs gently from 7,634 feet to 8,038 feet, providing a straightforward adventure for beginners and experienced drivers alike. The trail features a mostly dirt surface that is easy to navigate when dry but can quickly become rutted and slick. Drivers will enjoy views of the surrounding volcanic landscape, including nearby Wild Bill Hill and Government Knolls, while exploring this unique forest ecosystem in transition.
