FS 800

FS 800 begins off FS 246 as a wide, easy-going track that quickly passes a meadow with a nice campsite opportunity. Not far in, the trail narrows significantly, becoming tighter as it winds through the lower part of the forest. Expect a few ruts and a washed-out section along the way, along with fallen dead trees that can occasionally block or crowd the trail. The route then turns right and heads up a canyon, where it becomes more enclosed and rugged. The trail ends shortly after this point, as it is closed to all motorized use beyond the turnaround.
