This mostly dirt road winds through the forest, offering a generally easy drive with some rocky sections that add a bit of bumpiness. There are a few camp spots along the west side of the trail with established fire rings, though parts of the route are designated no camping, so be sure to watch for posted signs. Some sections can become very muddy after rain or snow, but most of the larger puddles have drive-arounds. The road is uneven and rutted in places, with a few washouts creating mild off-camber sections. There are also occasional tight stretches of pine trees that narrow the corridor slightly.
