Trail Overview
This mostly dirt road offers an easy drive with a few rocky and bumpy sections mixed in. There are ruts, washouts, and occasional exposed rock that add some unevenness to the route. The trail can become very slippery and potentially treacherous when wet, so conditions should be checked before heading out. You’ll cross several cattle guards along the way, and wildlife is common in the area, including elk and pronghorn.
In the middle section, the road becomes faint in places, suggesting it doesn’t see much traffic. There are also a few old downed trees across the trail, though well-established drive-arounds make them easy to bypass. High clearance is recommended for the rougher sections.
Difficulty
This trail is rated 3/10 due to the rutted surface, washouts, and rocky patches that create an uneven drive. While generally manageable, drivers should be prepared for changing conditions, especially when wet, and be comfortable navigating lightly maintained sections.
