Trail Overview
FS 425B starts at FS 425 and follows a narrow, natural two-track gravel trail. The trail winds downhill through many small young pines and aspens. The trail alternates between wider sections and tighter areas where low branches and fallen trees require careful navigation. There are several scenic areas along the route that make great places to stop for lunch; no cell service was found. The trail ends at a large, old fallen tree that creates a unique spot to stop, enjoy a picnic, and explore the surrounding forest. A peaceful, lightly traveled trail with a more natural, backcountry feel.
Difficulty
This natural trail has no obstacles or technical challenges but features a few areas requiring navigation around low-hanging pine limbs. Overgrown sections, tight passages between trees, and numerous S-curves require careful maneuvering along the route.
