Trail Overview

A relatively flat, bumpy trail leads to the First Water Trailhead and access to the beautiful Superstition Wilderness. Four-wheel drive is not required, however, several washes exist on the trail that are prone to drastic flash flooding. Please monitor weather patterns before use. There is no overnight parking at this location, however, primitive restrooms are available. Pack out what you pack in.

Difficulty

Open to the access of most vehicle heights. Washboarding of the trail is frequent, along with the possibility of some smaller, loose rocks.

Very easy trail. Could definitely get it done in 2WD & saw some other sedan & mid size SUV’s doing it. Some areas might be a bit more bumpy if you did take your car but certainly doable.

Super chill trail, can really be done in any stock SUV or crossover, even if they are 2WD. There are a few spots along the trail with flash flood warnings that I’d be careful crossing if flooded but otherwise a very easy path to follow and super pretty at night.

basically 3 turn off parking areas, hackers, mx riders, 1 bathroom at the end. Watch out getting squirmy on the turns.
